A chemical peel is a skin-resurfacing treatment used to treat fine lines and wrinkles, acne, uneven skin tones and dryness. Peels can range from light, superficial peels (used at Mejorar clinic) to a deeper peel performed by a doctor.
Mejorar clinic use the Clinicare range, a course of 4 – 6 lighter peels is recommended to provide the end result similar to a deeper peel without the healing and downtime required from a deeper peel.
Normal healing can involve some redness depending upon the depth of the peel. Very mild stinging may be experienced.
Peels are tailored to each individual skin type and desired outcome which will be discussed prior to treatment. Treatment intervals 1 – 4 weeks dependent upon intensity and sensitivity of the patient’s skin.
